Fredrick Ge
Fredrick is currently a first-year student studying at the University of Melbourne, Bachelor of Commerce, major in Accounting and Finance. Besides his commerce study, Fredrick pursues his passion of music, as he has been learning classical piano since he was five years old.
Fredrick has achieved multiple award during his high school, including Wesley College Academic Dux of Music HL IBDP in 2018 and receiving a Pass with Distinction for AMEB AMUSA in 2016. Fredrick also actively performs in the high school community with solo performances in Graduation Ceremony and several school events. He has made his first concerto appearance, performing at the Melbourne Recital Centre in 2018 with conductor Daniel Gare and the Wesley College Orchestra. Moreover, Fredrick has also participated in various Jazz Bands at Wesley College, competing in Division 3 at the Mount Gambier Jazz Music Festival.
Other than an experience performer, Fredrick is also a competent piano teacher, as he has been teaching since 2017, teaches students ranging from 8 years old to 17 years old. As a young piano teacher, Fredrick engages with his student by using creative methods to build the fundamentals for younger students, as he believes that strong fundamentals are the success to become a great pianist. Because of his passion for music and mentoring, Fredrick is dedicated to helping students experience the joy of music by way of finding their own voice and fundamentals.
