
Winnie Kuo
A pianist recognized for her affection for classical music, Winnie Chih-Wei Kuo is a current Master student studying at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, under the tutelage of Dr Jerry Wong. She has previously completed her Bachelor of Music under Professor Thomas Linde at the Tunghai University in Taiwan.
During the years of studying in Taiwan (2014-2018), Winnie was renowned as a piano teacher and an accompanist. She was not only an accompanist for soloist, but also a rehearsal pianist for choral, opera, and orchestra. Her unique personality portrayed in her performances made her stood out and she has won the first prize of concerto competition in the final year of her Bachelor degree. In 2018, Winnie received a scholarship from Kent State University and proceed to the United State to study her Master. In the same year, she was the alternate winner of the concerto competition held by the Kent State University. A year later, Winnie decided to move to Melbourne to follow her piano professor, Dr Jerry Wong who is now teaching in the Conservatorium. She has also received a scholarship from Melbourne Conservatorium of Music to study her Master.
Being an experienced teacher, she has taught students as young as three years-old to around sixty years-old. She believes that music can bring joy to people, and would love to see more people enjoy music.
