My musical journey started about 21 years ago.
I was a shy 13 years old boy who'd never been interested in music before whose world was mostly made of catch ups with friends and video games. That was bound to change all of a sudden in a hot lazy summer afternoon at my parents' place in Rome.
My sister was doing her school home works with MTV switched on the background. Nothing was amiss in what was looking as another ordinary day like many others. At some point though, the TV presenter announced “The next artist is a band from the US who's released the third album a few years ago and we really liked it, so here it comes, they are Green Day and this is Basket Case!”
I remember watching the music video from start to finish with my mouth wide open, hit by a real epiphany. Something had clicked inside of me, was it the raw energy of the recording or the quirky liveliness of the video, I knew I had to gain the ability of creating sounds and forging melodies. That precise moment in 1999, my life was forever changed.
From the very start, studying guitar didn't just became a tool to play my favourite tunes but also a true means of self expression, a way to communicate inner emotions and thoughts. I absolutely loved the idea of being able to document events happening around me in a personal, and sometimes cryptic fashion.
And you know how it goes... when true passion kicks in it becomes a part of your identity, so much that I cannot imagine my life without strumming my guitar away. I will be happy to guide you in a journey of exploration and discovery, not only of the foundation and the advanced concepts of playstyles and technique but also of yourself. Studying music is indeed a process of constant growth that can be overwhelming at times, it's the task of a good teacher to be a lighthouse in the stormy night of musical improvement.
I specialise in pop, rock, classical and jazz guitar with a flair for virtuoso techniques like sweep picking, tapping and legato runs. I'm an experienced teacher with more than 10 years of past practice in the field of group and private music tuition and I'm able to tailor a syllabus in coherence to your desires, needs and expectations.
When I'm not teaching or performing, I love to compose new songs. All my precedent solo works are available for listening on all the major digital streaming platforms and I'm currently busy writing my third album. Should you be interested in learning more about the art of crafting a song, we'd have lots to talk about!
Looking forward to hearing from you, I wish you happy practice and a healthy life always 🙂
