Vesna Zelenovic
Vesna Zelenovic is classical pianist and piano teacher based in Australia. She began her musical journey at the age of 8 in her hometown of Bijeljina, Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is where she studied piano until 2008, already winning numerous piano competitions locally and internationally before beginning a Bachelor of Music in Belgrade, Serbia.
In 2013 Vesna graduated with both Bachelor’s and Master’s degree under the tutelage of Dubravka Jovicic. Vesna was then accepted into further study in Switzerland at the prestigious Haute Ecole de Musique where she undertook piano concert performance Master studies with Jean-Francois Antonioli. During her studies she attended Master classes with renowned international artists including Mirjana Rajic, Aleksandra Romanic, Berndt Glenser, Michael Uhde and Aleksandar Madzar. At that time she already started working as accompanists for clarinet students at the Conservatoire.
Alongside her solo career Vesna is also an accomplished associate artist having performed with singers, clarinetists, violinists, quartets and quintets and as a part of piano duo in recitals and at competitions. She moved to Dubai in 2015 where she started teaching piano to students as young as 4 years old, as well as adults, preparing them for ABRSM, Trinity and other examination boards. She worked as accompanist for violin and vocal students and she was also performing with other UAE based classical musicians Janneke Ferwerda (soprano) and Dejan Markovic (violin).
Currently living in Melbourne, she is enjoying the privilege of being a piano teacher and preparing for 2021 chamber music performances. Vesna is preparing students for AMEB and ABRSM music exams, recitals and competitions.
