Harrisson Ball
Harrisson Ball is one of Australia's youngest up and coming commercial freelance trumpeters, educators, and arrangers, specializing in the unique ability to tame the upper register on trumpet. Harrisson has carved his unique path through the Australian music industry and is well respected and regarded as one of Australia's youngest commercial trumpet players Harrisson is currently the lead trumpet of the Australian National Youth Jazz Orcastra, Salsa Kingz Band, Sydney All-star Salsa band, Sydeny Conservatorium Jazz Orcastra.
Harrisson Ball returned to Sydney after two years studying with Grammy award-winning artists, and multi-instrumentalist James Morrison at the University of South Australia. While studying there, Harrisson grew under the guidance of internationally renowned artists such as Wycliffe Gordon, Jeff Clayton, Matthew Jodrell, Carl Mackey, Jordan Murray, Gileno Santana, Ross Irwin, David jones, Gordon Goodwin, Judie Bailey, and Branford Marsalis just to name a few.
Harrisson is currently finishing his Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance at The Sydney Conservatorium of Music where he has spent three years studying under some of the finest jazz musicians & educators in Australia. Due to Harrisson's versatility, professionalism, and passion for all musical genres, he has created and defined his very own space in the Australian music industry. Harrisson owes much of this to the world-renowned trumpet masters and educators that he has learnt from, such as, Adrian Munn, Simon Sweeney, Bob Coassin, Lynn Nicholson, Warwick Alder, Matt Jodrell, Ross Irwin, Gileno Santana and James Morrison.
During Harrisson's first two years at university, he performed on stage with many international & domestic artists. Harrisson has completed three full contracts on two Royal Caribbean International Ships, Liberty and Jewel of the seas, and one contract with Azamara upon Azamara Quest, traveling across 39 different countries around the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, and the Pacific Ocean by the age of 19.
Harrisson has shared his unique musical skills with high-level entertainer positions from all across the world such as Vanessa Price, Jeff Clayton, Matthew Jodrell, Phil Stack, Emma Pask, Jerry Nowak, Jeff Clayton, Comedian Rick Course, Paul Boland, Scott Record, Marianne Pracheski, Greg London, Dave & Paul Panichi and Latin American Grammy award winning artist Yan Collazo.
