Elita Zhuang
Born in Guangdong, Elita began to learn piano performance at the age of 5 under the guidance of a teacher from Xinghai Music High School. In the first year of high school, she has passed Grade 10 in piano, and in the third year of high school, she has passed ABRSM Piano Grade 8 and ABRSM Music Theory Grade 5. After moving to Melbourne, she entered Monash University to pursue a double degree in Music and Secondary Education, under the tutelage of Dr. Kenji Fujimura. In 2017, she successfully passed the Diploma of The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
During her studies at Monash, Elita was an active performer. She has graced the stage of different venues, including Melbourne Recital Centre, Duneira House, Robert Blackwood Hall, etc. She has also won multiple awards during her studies for her outstanding results, such as Bernies Music Land Classical Piano Prize. She was also selected to participate in a short-term chamber music course in Prato, Italy.
Elita has taught in many schools across Melbourne, and has a strong understanding of VCE music units. She is able to tutor VCE music performance unit 1, 2, 3, 4, as well as music theory and music analysis, and will always strive to help her students achieve better results.
As a piano teacher, she hopes that children can learn to enjoy music by learning the piano. Therefore, she will adapt her teaching method according to the needs of each child. Musicality training will be her main focus in teaching, and this includes the ability to express music freely, music theory, and historical background, etc.
